?“Surely he took up our infirmities and carried our sorrows, yet we considered him stricken by God, smitten by him, and afflicted.? But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed.” Isaiah 53:4,5

Slipped disc all of a sudden?

　It was few month before I graduated high school that I had pain on my back all of a sudden, although I had never had major sicknesses before.? I walked with one leg dragging because of pain.? I was diagnosed with ‘slipped disc’ or ‘herniated disc’, and I started a traction treatment.? Although I was hospitalized for about 10 days, the cause was unknown. Since then I put on corset on my waist during day time and I slept on a bed with plywood on it with a device attached to my waist to pull my body.Although I still could go to school, I could not attend the normal physical education classes.? In order to earn credits, I took a special physical education classes for students with health problems.

Jesus heals the sick

　By God’s grace, I used to go to an evangelist church since I was lower primary school student. I accepted Jesus Christ as my savior when I was a junior high school student and have become a Christian. I was baptized when I was the first year of high school and had been experiencing the joy to know God more and more in my church life. However, the church did not teach us that Jesus is the one who still heals us now. It was about one year after I got slipped disc, I started to go to the meeting of The Lord’s Cross Christian Center and I received the baptism of Holy Spirit, which is the first experience for Christian to be filled with Holy Spirit. Also I came to know that the gifts of Holy Spirit are being used still now, and that the Lord heals our sicknesses still now not only through doctors and treatments, but also through our prayer, while my old church took a stance that the gifts of Holy Sprit which were used during the Acts era had faded away now. During the summer of that year, I moved my church membership from the old church where I grew spiritually for a long time to ‘The Lord’s Cross Christian Center’. And I started to pray for the healing for my slipped disc. I also asked the church members of ‘The Lord’s Cross Christian Center’ to pray for my healing.

Touched by God’s power

　One day, when several church members prayed for the healing for my slipped disc, I felt God’s power touched me particularly. Since that time, the pain started to disappear. Several months later, there was no pain at all. I could attend the normal students’ physical exercise class. I thank the Lord for the blessing to make me known through my own experience that He heals us through prayer.

Pelvic fracture was healed

There was an incident that I could confirm that God had completely healed my back. It was three years after my slipped disc was healed that I had a car accident and I had broken my hip pelvis. I had to undergo the treatment just to lie down and wait for the bone to grow back. Through the passionate prayer of my church members, the Lord has made the bone to grow back faster. The bone fracture was completely healed in 2 months and I could have a normal life again. I thank the Lord that I have never had the back pain for 20 years since that time.

Praying for healing

　It was God’s blessing that I have come to know that heals us still now. If I didn’t know that, I would only had had the treatment in the hospital and never prayed and asked God for healing. There are Christians to whom God allows sicknesses. There are Christians who show God’s glory with the condition of having sicknesses. However, God heals us by the blessing of Jesus Christ’s crucifixion if it is God’s will and we ask for it. I will continue telling people that Jesus is the savior and the healer.
