What do you think about Chinese characters between Matsusaka of Mie and Matuszaka who is a professional baseball player of the majors? Are they the same Kanji (Chinese character)?

The answer is the difference.
Matsusaka City’s character is “松阪”.
Matsuzaka baseball player is “松坂”.
Just to tell you, local people say “Mattaka”. In Kanagawa, I heard that there’s the place named “Oppama”. It’s very similar.
