Christianity came to Uganda in the 10th century and she became a Christian nation. Before that, original religions people practiced in were Animism, animal worship where lions and other animals were regarded
as representaties of the deity, spiritual mediums, snake worship which is a survival of ancestor worship,
deity of rain, god of the underground, spiritual god (Katonda), and magic. The majority practice in mediums.
Including Katonda, the creator god, they worship gods controlled by it. King of Buganda was the high priest.
