Cooking food in Africa

When we visited in Zambia, we plucked feathers from chickens with children, and cooked them. Chicken are valuable foods for them.

I’ve heard the Ugandan staple food is banana.

The Capital, Kampala

Kampala is the capital in Uganda.
the population of 1,420,000 (2008).
the altitude is 1,190 m in the greatest city in Uganda.
Although it is directly under the equator, since altitude is high, it does not become high temperature.
July is the average temperature of 25 degrees.

Annual precipitation is 1,178 meters.
In January and July in the dry season,
March – May, and November in the rainy season .

The center of commerce bristles with the skyscraper of 20 or more stories. In the city, there are many hills, many ruins and historical buildings.

Food in Uganda

“Matoke (Banana)” is the staple food of the Ugandan. They eat it with a soup full of ingredients. It contents with meal, fish and beans. They eat mainly river fish. It costs from 2000 to 3000 Ush or from 80 yen to 100 yen.
